Job Title: Office Administrator

Reports to: Warehouse Manager

Location: Southaven Mississippi area

NDL Industries Inc. is looking to hire an Office Administrator for our Southaven, Mississippi warehouse to oversee the day-to-day administrative duties, research information, and assist in developing more digital ways of working and onboarding new team members. This role supports our Warehouse Manager on supervising staff to ensure maximum productivity.

Job Overview:

  • Help select and grow a team of dedicated and capable warehouse employees to setup and operate the facility as it comes online
  • Manage the day-to-day operations of the facility; ensure logistics and maintenance tasks are coordinated and completed

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the efficient functioning of the office through a range of administrative, financial, and managerial tasks
  • Ensure the smooth running of the office on a day-to-day basis through management of support staff
  • Assist with compliance of federal, state, and local warehousing, material handling, and shipping requirements through training and enforcing adherence to requirements and advising management on needed actions
  • Implementing and maintaining procedures/office administrative systems
  • Dealing with correspondence, complaints, and queries from within and outside the organization
  • Help manage inventory levels by generating or conducting physical counts, reconciling with warehouse management, and accounting systems
  • Maintain physical condition of office and help by planning and implementing design layouts, inspecting equipment, issuing work orders for repair and requisitions for replacement
  • Organizing introduction programs for new employees
  • Maintain warehouse staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees
  • Assist the organization’s HR Function by keeping personnel records up to date and properly filed
  • Attend meetings with management, customers, and vendors
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional bodies
  • Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results, as needed
  • Greets visitors, answering a high-volume of incoming phone calls and delivering world-class service to our customers

Skills and competencies:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Logistics and/or Supply Chain Management or related discipline (desirable)
  • 5+ years of warehousing experience (required)
  • 3+ years of management roles (desirable)
  • Warehouse management software experience (required)
  • Carrier management software experience (desirable)
  • Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) experience (desirable)
  • Ability to think creatively, self-starting and motivated
  • Ability to work collaboratively inline with strategic goals
  • Leadership traits (essential)
  • Strong communicator and collaborator
  • Effective time manager when dealing with competing priorities and deliverables with strong attention to detail
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills including Outlook, Excel, Word and PowerPoint
